O húngaro Norbert Michelisz (Hyundai/BRC) conquistou o tÁtulo da temporada 2019 do FIA World Touring Car Cup. A última etapa da temporada aconteceu no Circuito Internacional de Sepang, na Malásia, no dia 15 de dezembro.
Norbert Michelisz venceu a primeira prova, com o seu rival na disputa pelo tÁtulo, o argentino Esteban Guerrieri (Honda/Münnich) vencendo a segunda prova. O sueco Johan Kristoffersson (Vw/Loeb) venceu a prova final do ano.
Dois brasileiros disputaram a etapa da Malásia: Augusto Farfus (Hyundai/BRC) e Joao Paulo de Oliveira (Honda/KC Motorgroup), que correu como convidado e inelegÁvel para pontos. O melhor resultado foi o quinto lugar de Oliveira na primeira prova.
Michelisz conquistou o tÁtulo com 372 pontos. Guerrieri, o vice, somou 349.
